Scope of work

Internal protection for 32/24″ pipespools in lengths varying from 1196mm to 4428mm. Pipespools would be subject to a service condition of seawater.

Products

Corroglass 600 series. 

Substrate

Copper nickel.

Coating system

• Masked off areas not requiring coating.
• Abrasive blasted the internal surface areas with new abrasive in accordance with to ISO 8501-1 to Sa2½ surface finish, to achieve a surface profile of 50 microns.
• Completed a full blow down, sweep and vacuum clean throughout, where required to remove dust.
• Applied Corroglass 600 series to a minimum DFT of 1250 microns.
• Removed surface protection, dress edges and completed 100% visual inspection
• Carried out thickness testing and spark test at 17Kv.
• Packed and prepared for dispatch.

Coating credentials

Corroglass series is a two-pack cold cured vinyl ester glass flake coating. Provides excellent performance in immersed environments. Ecellent flexibility, undercutting resistance and sliding abrasion resistance.
